Mammograms can be used to look for breast cancer, either as a screening test in women without symptoms or in women who have symptoms that might be from cancer. A mammogram is still the best tool to detect breast cancer early, when it’s small and even before a lump can be felt. This is when it’s likely to be easiest to treat.

According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS 2019) recently released by the Ministry of Health Malaysia, 3 in 4 women aged 40 and above have never had a mammogram. Together, we can change these numbers. Through NCSM’s partnership with Etiqa, underprivileged women with a household income below RM5000 are entitled to a free mammogram screening. Our screening services are available throughout hospitals in Peninsular Malaysia.
