Our health awareness infographic today is in conjunction with testicular cancer awareness month.  If you notice any lumps, swelling, or changes in the structure of the testicle, tell your doctor right away. Not all cases of testicular cancer present painful symptoms, some men may experience painless lumps or swelling instead.

TESTICULAR SELF-EXAM

Regular testicle self-examination is recommended to identify testicular cancer at its earliest stage. The best time to do a testicular self-exam is after a warm shower, when the scrotum is relaxed. Follow these simple steps.

TESTICULAR CANCER SYMPTOMS

Image
Testicular cancer occurs in the testicles (testes), which are located inside the scrotum, a loose bag of skin underneath the penis. The disease affects teens and younger men, particularly those aged between 15 and 35. However, it can occur at any age and usually affects only one testicle. If you are experiencing any pain, swelling or lumps in your testicle accompanied by these symptoms lasting longer than two weeks, immediately consult a doctor. Early detection can help save lives.
